Dell Inspiron 9100 vs. Inspiron XPS Comparison
For gaming laptops, Dell didn't stop with just XPS Inspiron, and came up with a more affordable version Inspiron 9100 that is rapped into the same XPS body. The new 9100 looks and weights very much the same as XPS.
Inspiron 9100 is a performance multimedia laptop that is designed to replace your desktop and has some very powerful features including Intel
Pentium 4 processor (desktop version) with Hyper-Threading technology and high-performance ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics card.
In comparison with XPS the 9100 has neither option to upgrade its graphics card nor a branded backpack.
Dell Inspiron 9100 - ultimate multimedia laptop
This Dell is designed to run digital entertainment programs such as music, movies, photos, digital editing and graphics-intensive games.
It is aimed to two groups of buyers: hardcore gamers and digital media enthusiasts.
The Moonlight Silver and Venice Blue color scheme Inspiron 9100 comes with a choice of media bay options, multimedia features and 5 optional QuickSnap color kits (Venice Blue,

wide-screen resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, Dell Inspiron 9100 is great
for DVD viewing. The built-in
subwoofer adds to audio quality when watching movies, playing music and games
but, of course, an external speaker system would be better.
With 9100's option for 80 GB hard drive you could really maximize your storage for music
files and videos.

The 9100 chassis matches XPS chassis and is 2.0"
(50.8 mm) high, 14.1" (359 mm) wide and 10.8" (274 mm) deep. Weights

In comparison with XPS, the 9100 Inspiron still delivers great speed,
capacity and performance for less money, and could be upgraded later to
match XPS specs.
